Summary

Senior software engineer and IAAP-certified accessibility professional. I lead WCAG 2.1 AA work on a high-traffic consumer web platform — The Elder Scrolls Online account ecosystem — and build the TypeScript front ends and component architecture behind it. That sits on real delivery depth: Azure and AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines that get accessible software in front of people reliably. Inclusive design is not an afterthought in my work; it is the point.

Experience

Jahnel Group, an Inc. 5000 company

Schenectady, NY

Senior Software Engineer

2024 – present

  • Lead the accessibility upgrade of The Elder Scrolls Online account ecosystem to WCAG 2.1 AA while embedded with ZeniMax Online Studios.
  • Run WCAG audits across the platform and give internal accessibility talks.
  • Set technical standards for and review the work of a team of ten onshore and offshore engineers.
  • Lead the on-premises to Azure cloud migration: dockerized deployments, CI/CD, environment strategy, and release controls, plus a Terraform infrastructure-as-code proof of concept.
  • Containerized legacy bare-metal applications with Docker, cutting developer onboarding from two days to fifteen minutes.
  • Build high-throughput APIs exposing Elder Scrolls Online telemetry to hundreds of thousands of daily active users.
  • Deliver Tableau reporting for business areas, replacing custom-built reporting software with reports the business maintains itself.

Software Engineer

March 2021 – 2024

  • Led the structural rewrite of the Elder Scrolls Online account platform, including a Worldline payment gateway integration.
  • Audited and upgraded web architecture to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, and advocated for inclusive design through cross-functional technical talks.
  • Architected asynchronous job scheduling on AWS using Elastic Beanstalk and SQS message queuing for decoupled processing workflows.
  • Directed the migration of legacy JavaScript codebases to TypeScript, improving stability and development velocity.
  • Moved the team from Git Flow to trunk-based development, reducing merge conflicts and release-cycle deployment errors.
  • Built data pipelines across REST APIs, Azure Functions, and batch processes, with the database design and query optimization behind them.

SUNY Adirondack

Queensbury, NY

Instructor, Continuing Education

2017 – present

  • Develop curriculum for and teach Microsoft Excel I, II, and III to adult learners in person and online — data analysis, formulas, and reporting for working professionals.
  • Partner with the Continuing Education department to build coursework around the skills local businesses are hiring for.

Ayco, a Goldman Sachs Company

Saratoga Springs, NY

Software Engineer

May 2019 – March 2021

  • Led a team of ten offshore developers building Ayco’s Salesforce production instance, and built the integration services other teams relied on.
  • Integrated telephony systems with Salesforce CRM and built batch/ETL processes consolidating on-premises and telephony data.
  • Created the Spring Boot library that allowed secure connections to the Salesforce org, and applied Apex Enterprise Patterns across the codebase.
  • Designed the data models, database structures, and SQL underpinning CRM reporting, and established the data validation rules protecting reporting accuracy.
  • Wrote the technical standards, specifications, and process documentation the platform team adopted.

Software Engineer Intern

2017 – May 2019

  • Assisted with a monolithic application transition from AngularJS to Angular.
  • Built auditable permissions checking and a shared common-code package used across the team.
  • Increased automated test coverage on the services the team maintained.
